"I am still me. I am even more me now than I was before." I hear you, sister. I LOVE being home. Every once in a while the freelance work gets overwhelming and something else gives (Something's always gotta give) but I wouldn't trade it for the world. Loved the post you found for blognosh on 5 myths about social networking. I'm in a bit of a frump right now, feel like why keep up the old blog anyway?

Oh...your days sound wonderful. I'm working hard to get to the point where I can quit my day job and work from home on Macaroni and Peas. Granted, my son's already in school, so that leaves 6 hours a day to myself, but I long to be able to do things with him during the day...art classes, zoo trips, etc. that I can't do now because of my silly 8-5 schedule.

I read this and, partially, weep ... because I've taken a job and start next month. It's a HUGE leap of faith in both myself, my confidence as a mother and as a woman who knows I can't always be the center of my daughters' world, nor them mine.

I'm so, so glad you have found success with it. I have enjoyed my time at home these last (almost) 2 years. In fact, I will return to the working world a very changed woman who is absolutely more productive than ever. : )

I can totally relate to your experience with working from home. At first, I thought I was delusional to think that I could get anything done with 7 kids and a houseful of chores breathing down my neck all day.

Sounds like your doing a pretty good job for only being at it such a short time.

Congrats on making it work! I still love the quiet in my office. I wish I could WFH more, but I really can't when the kids are home...
